Job Title - Accountant
A reputable College of Health Sciences and Technology in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State is seeking to employ an Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of the College.
This role is critical for ensuring fiscal responsibility, preparing financial statements, and supporting the College's financial planning and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and reports.
Monitor College expenditure and revenue to ensure financial health.
Process payroll, manage financial transactions, and reconcile bank statements.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, internal controls, and auditing requirements.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of HND or B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CPA) is required.
Minimum of 2 years’ cognate working experience in an educational institution or reputable organization.
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in an educational or public sector organization.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with office software, email, and digital tools.
Membership in a recognised and relevant professional body in Nigeria.
