Job Description
Role: A-Level Tutor (Science)
Subjects : Maths, English, chemistry, physics, computer science, and psychology
The A- level Tutor will be responsible for for the following:
- Possessing a strong command of the subject matter and staying updated on the A-level curriculum.
- Creating and delivering customized lesson plans that cater to each student's learning style and academic needs.
- Evaluating student performance through tests, assignments, and mock exams, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement.
- Helping students develop effective note-taking, time management, and exam strategies.
- Providing focused support and practice for A-level exams, including mock tests and revision strategies.
- Fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere that encourages students to learn and succeed.
- Utilizing relevant teaching materials, including textbooks, online resources, and practice papers.
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress, lesson plans, and any relevant communication. Adjusting teaching methods and strategies based on student feedback and performance.
Requirement:
- Strong command of A-Level subject matter and up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum.
- Proven ability to design and deliver customized lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and academic needs.
- Experience in evaluating student performance through tests, assignments, and mock exams, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Skilled in supporting students with note-taking, time management, and effective exam strategies.
- Ability to prepare students for A-Level exams through targeted practice, revision techniques, and mock assessments.
- Competence in fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment that motivates students to achieve academic success.
- Proficiency in utilizing a wide range of teaching resources, including textbooks, online tools, and practice papers.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining lesson plans, student progress records, and communication logs.
- Flexibility to adjust teaching methods and strategies based on student feedback and learning progress. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong rapport with students and parents/guardians.
